Printable Wall Art – Kindness Creates Laozi Quotation
Last week was Random Acts of Kindness week. Did you remember? Did you participate?
It’s okay if you missed it. There is so much going on right now around the world, and especially last week. I feel like I am still catching up.
Kindness Creates
Normally you see or read a few RAOK stories during this week as promotion, but I don’t recall much mention in the online newspapers I read. How sad. ☹️
Unless you consider what happened in Florida. And I do.
It seems like when you ask people about acts of kindness, the responses are such as holding a door for someone or giving your seat to someone else on the bus. But kindness comes in all comes sizes and forms.
What occurred in Parkland are not the random acts of kindness you want to hear about. No one should be in the position anywhere in the world where their random act of kindness is determined by a vicious premediated act of violence.
But the efforts of all those students and teachers who selflessly helped others while putting themselves in danger is kindness in its height. Its kindness in action, in response, unconsciously. This help came from a place of goodness and kindness. We must learn from this.
Moving Forward
The extension of that kindness are the actions being untaken by the survivors, parents, strangers, activists around the globe. Their resolve to respectfully stand on the shoulders of their friends, family, heroes-both lost and saved- and say “no more” is also kindness in its height.
An act of kindness in advance. Paid in full. So this rotten core of this viciousness is eradicated and school shootings and mass shootings don’t occur again and harm you or your children or your friends.
Kindness heroes are those lost. Kindness activists are all of us now.
Laozi said, “kindness in giving creates love.” The ultimate giving of kindness happened last week, and it has created a thunderstorm of love and strength.
May this thunderstorm continue its rolling and suffocatingly downpour its kindness origins on those weak, impotent, soulless individuals who care only with protecting their false ideological empires and drown their repugnant voices to hoarse, indiscernible whispers.
