Printable Wall Art – Buddy the Elf Snuggles
December means holiday movie season is open!
While I’d rather such movies didn’t kick in until mid-December, I can see the tv listings are overflowing will holiday offerings.
Buddy the Elf Snuggles
There are so many to choose from, where does one start?
You have the cartoons – Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and, of course, A Charlie Brown Christmas.
You have a large stock of new movies from speciality stations like Lifetime, Hallmark, and Up. (BTW – If you are ever wondering what happened to your favourite young actress from the 90s, chances are they’ll show up on one of these channels in a holiday movie. Every year. 😉)
You have the comedy movies – Christmas Vacation, Home Alone, Scrooged, Bad Santa, Fred Claus, The Santa Clause, and Elf.
You have the romance / drama / etc movies centred around Christmas but not specifically about it – Love Actually, Die Hard, The Holiday, The Family Stone, While You Were Sleeping, Four Christmases, The Family Man, The Preacher’s Wife, The Polar Express, and my favourite Meet Me in St. Louis.
And you have the “classic” classic movies – It’s a Wonderful Life, Meet Me in St. Louis, A Muppet Christmas, Miracle on 24th Street, A Christmas Story, and White Christmas.
And on and on. I’m sure I’ve forgotten a few.
Elf is what I would call a “new” classic holiday movie. I have already watched this twice on tv in the past three weeks; that is how popular it is with all ages.
Deservedly so. Who doesn’t wish they were as good as Buddy the Elf in a snowball fight? Or could eat so much sugar and syrup as Buddy without (apparently) any issues?
One of the best parts of the movie is Buddy providing a fantastic to-do list for a day with your loved ones. Snow angels? Check. Ice skating? Check. Cookie dough? Snuggles? Check and check.
Throw in a hot chocolate and this is pretty much a perfect (holiday) day. With more snuggles, of course. Every day should end with snuggles. Always, more snuggles. 😊
